Keeping your account safe is one of our top priorities, and this is why we offer you an option to get a security code every time you try to log into your account or (if you set your browser to remember you) before running certain funds-related actions. Enable the Two-Factor Authentication is not a requirement to manage your account, but we highly encourage you to do it.

I am a content creator. Why do I need this?

As a content creator that sells uploaded works, you will want to ensure your Bithril are safe in case someone steals your HicceArs password, so you are the only one with access to the withdrawal feature and make sure your funds are transferred to your account.

I am not a content creator. Is this still useful for me?

As a HicceArs customer, you will want to make sure that your purchases are not being downloaded by someone else, or that the funds you have in your wallet will not be used by someone else that hacked your account to make purchases that are not of your interest.

How to enable (or disable) the Two-Factor Authentication:

Firstly, you need to get access to the Two-Factor Authentication page. You can browse it from your Account Management menu, which is accessible by clicking on the gear icon (top-right drop-down menu), and then clicking on the "Two-Factor Authentication" option.

Then you will need to enable (or disable) the Two-Factor Authentication switch, so you can get (or stop getting) an email with a unique 6-digit security code when logging in or when running sensitive operations.

As a security measure, we will ask you to type your current HicceArs password before saving your changes. This is an easy way to confirm you are the account owner, in case you left your computer unsupervised.

Finally, you need to click on the button to store the new Two-Factor Authentication status.

From now on, every time you log into your account (if you didn't instruct your browser to remember you) or if you are trying to run a sensitive operation (such as make a withdrawal request, delete your account, and other operations), we will ask you to login again and type your security code (unless you logged into your account in the last few hours).

We want to make the security codes as simple as possible, so all the emails we are sending just contain the security code. You can copy and paste it to get access to your account.
